Procurement Money and PenNorth Norfolk is one of the largest local authority Districts in the country, its boundaries encompassing 373 square miles. Found on the East Coast of the UK, the District stretches for 43 miles alongside the North Sea. The District has a population of just over 100,000 people living in 200 distinct communities. There is no main urban centre, with the majority of the population living in the seven small market and resort towns of Cromer, Fakenham, Holt, North Walsham, Sheringham, Stalham and Wells-next-the-Sea. The Council devolved itself of its Council Housing stock in a large scale voluntary transfer which was completed in February 2006, and the housing stock is now owned and maintained by the North Norfolk Housing Trust. The Council aims to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness through all of its procurement processes and is committed to delivering Efficiency Gains that can be redirected to improve the front line services we provide.
Local Government Sustainable Procurement Strategy This strategy outlines local government's commitment to make its spending decisions in a way that achieves value for money on a whole life cycle basis, including wider economic, social and environmental benefits.
