| Expression of Interest for the construction of Short Stay Stopping Place facilities for Gypsies and Travellers |
North Norfolk District Council has recently secured planning consent for the provision of short stay stopping place facilities at Cromer and Fakenham. The Council now wishes to appoint a suitably qualified civil engineering/ construction company to develop the facilities during early 2009. The contract for the provision of these facilities involves ground works, provision of basic services and landscaping. Significantly, the delivery of the Fakenham facility requires highway works on the A148 road and the Council particularly wishes to bring this element of the work to the attention of prospective bidders at this stage in the process. Funding for the two facilities has been secured from the Government, subject to the Council demonstrating that it has delivered value for money in their provision.
Details of these proposals can be viewed on the Council's website following the link to the planning application register search page and searching under application numbers 20080818 (Cromer) and 20080810 (Fakenham) - https://www.northnorfolk.org/cgi-bin/publiclivedb.15000.exe/pl/pp7011.ad
