ConstitutionSee Also:Policies and StandardsNorth Norfolk District Council has agreed a Constitution which sets out how the Council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure that these are efficient, transparent and accountable to local people. Some of these processes are required by the law, while others are a matter for the Council to choose. The purpose of the Constitution is to:
The Council's Constitution is in a number of different parts about the way that the Council makes decisions either by Councillors ("Members") or Officers and the rules which apply to them. It is the Council's internal rulebook and governs the way in which the Council makes decisions. The Constitution also refers to a number of other policies and standards which are also available through the link on the left hand side. We'd like to hear from you if you would like to suggest changes to the guide, or if you find parts of it unclear or too complicated or if you'd prefer to see more information or receive information in a different format such as large print.
