Norfolk Citizens' Panel - Putting People First

Norfolk Citizens' Panel is a group of local people who are surveyed several times a year by organisations wanting to hear their views.

Over 7,000 Norfolk people sit on the Citizens' Panel, which makes it one of the largest panels in the country. Nine local organisations work together to run the Panel and use it to help them improve their services.

In Norfolk we want all our citizens to be able to have a say on the policies, decisions and services that affect our lives.

In a survey taken in 2004 just under a quarter of panellists (24%) agreed that they can influence decisions affecting their local area, with the majority (47%) in disagreement.
