DOG CONTROL ORDERS

Dogs on Beaches:

The following orders apply between 1st May and 30th September inclusive:

• The Dogs on Leads, Beaches Order 2007 (.pdf 60Kb)
• The Dogs Exclusion, Beaches Order 2007 (.pdf 64Kb)
  

The effect of these orders will be to ban dogs from certain beaches and require dogs to be kept on leads of no more than 1.8metres on walkways and promenades associated with those beaches.

Whilst there is very little change in the beaches and promenades covered the new orders are the first step in ensuring that North Norfolk has a consistent approach to dog control orders.

Important Information for Dog Owners in North Norfolk

North Norfolk District Council thanks you for being a responsible dog owner. Please help to keep the district pleasant and clean for all.

1. Clean up if your dog fouls, failure to do so is an offence under The Fouling of Land by Dogs Order 2008.
2. Dogs can frighten and worry people, especially children, please keep yours under control.
3. Carry a supply of Poop Scoops or similar to clean up after your dog Poop Scoop disposal bins are provided in some areas.
4. Dont leave your dog in the car without good ventilation and shade hot cars can kill.
5. Choose your dogs exercise area carefully.
