Car Parking

This page contains information about council car park locations, daily charges, season ticket charges and parking fines and appeals.

Parking Charges

Parking charges apply daily between 8am and 6pm.
Daily charges are as follows:

  • Coastal Long-Stay Car Parks - £1 per hour, maximum £4.50 charge - tickets are transferable between long-stay car parks.
  • Coastal Short-Stay Car Parks - 60p per hour, maximum stay 3 hours.
  • Standard Car Parks - 60p per hour, 8am to 6pm.
  • Mini-Stay (at some Coastal Short-Stay Car Parks and Standard Car Parks) - 10p for 20 minutes maximum.

Please note:
Disabled Blue Badge holders are not exempt from charges.

Please note: Three Car Parks along the Coast have height restrictions, these are; Bacton, East Runton, and Runton rd Cromer (Mar-Sep).

Season Tickets

Prices (from 1 July 2006)

  • Long-Stay: (maximum stay 24 hours)
    Weekly ticket: £25
    Three months: £55
    Six months: £100
    Annual: £165

  • Short-Stay: (maximum stay 2 hours)
    Six months: £22
    Annual: £40

A season ticket can be requested to cover two cars in a single household. The ‘dual’ ticket can then be used for either car as circumstances require.

You can pay for car park season tickets in the following ways:

  1. By telephone:

    Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm
    Payment by debit/credit card

  2. By post:
    Print and complete either the:

    Long Stay - Season Ticket Application Form (.pdf, 66Kb)
    Short Stay - Season Ticket Application Form (.pdf, 66Kb)

    and return it with payment to:

    Cashiers
    PO Box 2
    Holt Road
    Cromer
    Norfolk
    NR27 9EJ

  3. By visiting the Council Offices in Cromer:
    Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm
    Holt Road, Cromer, Norfolk, NR27 9EN
    (payment by cash, cheque, debit or credit card)

  4. By visiting Tourist Information Centres in North Norfolk.

Conditions of Use

  • The use of the ticket is not limited to one car park. The ticket is limited to the car specified at the time of purchase of the ticket.
  • The purchase of a car park season ticket does not guarantee a parking space.
  • Disabled Blue Badge holders are not exempt from charges. More information about Blue Badges (Norfolk County Council website).
  • Short-Stay tickets incorporate a time-dial which must be set on arrival and displayed in the windscreen.
  • Long-Stay tickets are not valid for Albert Street Car Park, Holt, unless endorsed as such.
  • Customers wishing to buy a Long Stay ticket for use at Albert Street must be residents of Holt and must apply to one of the Cashiers' offices.
  • Season tickets are not valid at the following locations:
    Budgens car parks; private car parks at The Quay and Pinewoods, Wells-next-the-Sea; The Bridewell, Walsingham; High St, Blakeney; The Carnser, Blakeney or Letheringsett Hill, Holt.

  • Polka Road, Wells-next-the-Sea
